I'm learning about Google Tools for Schools in a course this summer. I think that the Presentation tool is beneficial for my students and the team of teachers I work with.
I have not used Google Slide shows with my students, yet I see the benefits. Sometime students save their PowerPoints wrong or have a different version at one computer vs. another and at the day of the presentation ... it just fails. Google Presentations saves online so, I can certain see how this may solved the above problem.
I have taken pictures of student work, Students will also get out their phones and ipods to record what we are doing. I hope students will organize it to share with their peers more effectively. Google tools may lead to searchable organization.
As a special educator many of my students learn visually and is the only method they have for storing information into long term memory. I love anything visual supporting student learning.
I like the slide because it teaches students to be concise, work on presentation skills and keep more detailed notes of each slide below.
